Reducing Interview Costs Without Sacrificing Quality

1. Screen more effectively upfront -- Better job descriptions and take-home assessments reduce the number of on-site candidates.
2. Train interviewers -- Trained interviewers make better decisions with fewer rounds.
3. Standardize the process -- Structured interviews are both more effective and faster.
4. Reduce panel sizes -- 2 interviewers per round is usually sufficient; 3 adds cost without proportionally better signal.
5. Record and share -- Let some interviewers review a recording instead of attending live (where legal and appropriate).
